I got here COPY of Windows XP sp2 and before to load it I cnaged the BIOS so to read firstCDROM. It did that several times and then went dead. The only one thig that loaded is the first page where says Start Windows normally, safe mode., etc.Įventually the computer when on again and stayed like that for maximum 2-3 minutes. I couldn't turn the computer on for 5-6h. Blue screen of death came on and sayd that : system32/drivers/pci.sys is missing or corrupt. Yesterday my computer switched off, just like that. I run my computer, boot from the disk and then there's an error. It started some time ago.I wanted to turn my computer on and it just wouldn't enter Windows so I've thought about formating it but since that would mean loosing everything on C I've given my disk to a friend who scanned it (like one of your replies suggested) over in his computer and he said there's a slight problem with my disk (it works in 1 of 10 attempts to run it) and I should buy a new one soon but for the time being it should work.I was just suppose to install windows again.the problem is I can't get as far as starting the windows install. I'm having pretty much the same problem with an exception of another error.
